Robin
Robin plans to celebrate Independence Day on November 13. Why that date? After 13 years in an institution and 20 years in a nursing home, Robin celebrates her personal independence day every year.

"My life before wasn't very good. I was abused and didn't get loved the way I do now. I feel a whole lot better now that I'm out in the world and on my own . . Now that I've got my freedom." says Robin.

"Now I get to pick the food I eat. I can bake a cake, watch what I want on television, and people don't tell you what to do. I'm planning to get a new hob so I can buy a puppy!" says Robin.

"I used to hold in my anger and  that would get me in trouble. Now I have Lari (ETL teacher) to talk to, and I have an anger book that teaches me to listen to our good part, not our bad part, to be good to myself and others, and to talk about my feelings" says Robin.

People ask about Robin's behavior problems. She says she doesn't have time for that anymore. She's too busy!
